7 Years!

Yesterday was our 7 year anniversary. We spent Saturday looking at new dining tables with the girls and let them help pick one out and then we went to 5 guys for lunch. We had some maternity/family pictures taken and so far they look really good! Happy 7 years to us!

Christmas and Utah

I didn't take a whole lot of pictures Christmas Eve or Christmas Day but we had fun. We got pajamas the night before, ate ham and drove to see Christmas lights. The girls were in bed by 9, it was perfect!
I don't think Ashlynn remembers Christmas last year so everything was exciting to her. She loved ripping open all her gifts. Cambria was happy because she said she got everything she wanted.

Amma came to visit!

I love it when my mom comes to visit. We always have fun just sitting around watching movies, doing puzzles and eating. This time we had a cute baby to stare at also. Thanksgiving day was fun, we woke up and watched the parade and started cooking.
Corey and mom made the most delicious rolls ever. Luckily for us the recipe was huge so we got to snack on them all week.
Corey was a good sport and she stuffed our turkey. Aaron had hurt his thumb and had a bandaid on, so we didn't want him to lose the bandaid in the turkey! My mom had read a story on the internet a few days before about something similar happening. It made us laugh.
The girls had their own table set with the turkeys we made with grandma and grandpa.
The adult table. Thanksgiving was a success. I think it was the tastiest turkey I have ever had.
A few days later Ashlynn fell asleep like this during lunch.
We decided to make some sugar cookies while Amma was here.
Ashlynn was too little last year to remember making cookies. She had fun but her and Cambria's cookies were mostly sprinkles.
I always make their frosting separate because they just lick their knives the whole time.
The night before Amma left we all got to sit around and watch baby Cora. Cambria has been dying to hold her but she is so tiny so we have been trying to keep the kids away from her and not let them touch her too much. They are so excited to have a new baby cousin living so close to us.

Halloween Fun

On Thursday we went to the Pumpkin patch. It was cold so we didn't stay long, but Cambria and Ashlynn wanted every pumpkin they saw.

I love these things. So easy, and no mess! I'm not sure why Cambria is making that face though.
Corey had a few days off so she came to stay with us and we had a little party. I made Aaron go buy some dry ice, and he had to go to a few places before he found some. It was worth it. I remember my dad doing this when I was little. It was the witch's brew. So fun.
It was bubbling and overflowing all over the counter.
It also made the kool aid really cold and slushy. It was really yummy.
Sunday night we went to Blackfoot to eat and carve pumpkins.
Cambria actually put her hand in the pumpkin this time, but only because Fiona did first. It was cute, they drew their face on and cut it out themselves.

Ashlynn likes carving pumpkins too but she thought it was stinky, and she would not put her hand in.

Park City

Well these first 3 pictures were from the day before we left, but they were so cute I had to add them. Ashlynn loves to dress up. She is always wearing some sort of skirt or princess dress. She is just like Cambria.
They love it when I move the chairs out of the kitchen to mop. They think making a train is the funnest thing.
This is what it looked like the day before we left. As soon as it started snowing I went outside and rescued our onions, peppers, zucchini and carrots that were still growing. It is a good thing I did. It has been so cold lately that all of the plants are dead and wilted now. I have tons of onions and carrots. Maybe I'll make chicken noodle soup.
We stayed in Park City this weekend with Aaron's parents and Jaymee. I have never been to Park City before, it is really cute. We went to the Utah Olympic Park to see the museum and there were people practicing! It was very cool to watch them.
There was a lot of neat stuff to look at in the museum.

The first few days Cambria went to school Ashlynn was sad that she left without her, but then she quickly learned that she could do whatever she wanted. I let her play in Cambria's room the first few days and watch a movie and she didn't make a mess, then she just started pulling everything out and getting into Cambria's jewelry and losing things. This made Cambria mad.
So I started locking Cambria's door while she was at school. It seems mean but Ashlynn broke some stuff and lost some jewelry, and for everyone who knows Cambria, she is very weird about her stuff. She didn't like Ashlynn in her room while she was away. Also I did not like cleaning up the mess. Ashlynn would pull stuff out just because she thought it was funny.
She tried really hard to open the door, it was hilarious.
She was saying "push"!
She has also been falling asleep around the house because she does not like to take naps anymore but she still needs them because she is tired.
Note to self: one zucchini plant is sufficient, zucchini grows very well in our backyard.

Fashion Show and First Day of School

Cambria was so excited to have her grandparents over for dinner yesterday. She helped make pizza on the grill, it was so good. We even got out our fancy punch bowl that she always begs to use, for her back to school dinner. Then she did a fashion show. I only got pictures of 2 of her new outfits because she had started showing off her new clothes when we were still getting dinner ready because she couldn't wait.
When she came out she would try hard not to smile, it was cute.
Has anyone else noticed that kids backpacks are getting a lot bigger? This is the hugest backpack I have ever seen. I tried to get her to let me take it back to the store and buy a different one, but she wanted a backpack with Rapunzel on it so bad. I searched everywhere for Rapunzel, but they were sold out. Oh well, she will just have a giant backpack. Also, this picture makes it look even bigger, haha.

The girl sitting next to her was in her primary class last year, so I am glad she has someone to sit by that she knows. They were laughing really hard because they both had the same barbie folder from walmart.

summer fun

We went camping with Jp Marriott and his family while they were in Idaho. It was the first time we have slept in a tent with Ashlynn, we weren't sure if she would even lay down to go to sleep, but she was really good. We were in our little tent but two twin mattresses fit perfectly in it and so we were really cozy
Ashlynn had fun running around and getting dusty.
Cambria thought riding in this thing with Jp was the coolest.

On our way home from the cabin one day we saw a baby moose.
We had a few thunderstorms at night and they liked to sit outside and watch the lightning.
We grew this zucchini in our garden. So far we have eaten some for dinner, made zucchini bread and we still have more left of this one, AND we have a few more that are ready to be picked in the garden. I think I am going to try to freeze some.
Our onions were not quite big enough yet...
Ashlynn was using this pepper as a phone. We grew this too. We have maybe about 10 peppers growing right now. I think I can freeze those too and use them for fajitas and stuff.
Our carrots and green beans are looking good.
Any finally, it's her turn to be a big sister!

4th of july/birthday party and other stuff

Cambria had her first friend birthday party, and she loved it! I am only doing friend birthday parties every few years for my kids, so when they get a party we can spend more and have more fun. It was hard inviting kids because every house in our neighborhood has a bunch of kids, and she has friends from church, t-ball, and preschool. So we ended up with a lot of kids, but it was fun.
I didn't think to take pictures until they had already been playing for an hour and had stopped to eat. We had hot dogs, cheetos and cupcakes. I didn't get pictures of the cupcakes either because they got eaten to fast.
The people who own this set it up at 8:30 in the morning and didn't pick it up until about 9:00 that night. We seriously played outside ALL day.

Cambria's favorite part was opening her gifts, she got a lot of cute things.

After the party we had family come over and play.

I have no idea what I am going to do when Ashlynn turns 5, it has to be as much fun as this was.
She loves yogurt, she always licks the bowl clean.
I saw Cambria doing Ashlynn's hair the other day, how cute is that?
A while ago I posted pictures of our garden. This is our first time growing anything, and next year we will do a few things differently, but we actually have stuff growing! This is our huge zucchini plant.
And here is a zucchini, it looks good!

4th of July part 1

We went 4 wheeling before the 4th of July but I just haven't blogged in a while. Cambria and Ashlynn love riding around. It was a hot day, but we had fun.

My kids are chickens when it comes to water. Corey and i took them to the splash park in Rexburg and they only played where the little babies play...
Cambria went on this one time but when the water splashed like this she just screamed and would never go on again.
They love swimming in their pool in our backyard and playing on the swing set.
On the 3rd we had a camp out in Blackfoot.
These were the lanterns I got for Cambria's birthday. They are like the ones in Tangled, they were so fun to watch.
We always go to the parade, it was kinda cold and windy at first but then the clouds went away and it was a nice day.

Cambria said she had a good birthday. I can't believe she is 5. I usually post something on the girls birthdays but we were so busy that I forgot so here are a few of my favorite pictures of Cambria. Today Cambria and I sat for a while looking at old pictures and videos of her, and this is the one that made us laugh the most.

Princess Festival

We went to Utah for a princess festival. Cambria and Ashlynn thought it was a fun weekend because we stayed in a hotel with a pool. The girls got dressed up to go to the festival.
They gave the girls autograph books when we got there and the first person we saw was Captain Hook. Cambria was making a hook with her finger.
Then they met Cinderella. They were doing 10 minute plays every 15 minutes and we saw Cinderella, part of Snow White and the 12 Dancing Princesses. The girls loved watching the plays, but the step mom in Cinderella scared Ashlynn and she started to cry. I had to walk through a bunch of little kids to pick her up.
Cambria said her favorite part was when they danced and fell in love.
If there was a shoe that fit them then they were a true princess.
It fit! She was yelling "I am a true princess"!
They also got a book and this was Princess Mila that was in the book.
Cambria just kept saying that she couldn't believe she met a real princess.
Ashlynn as Rapunzel.

When Cambria met Rapunzel she asked her is she had seen her own movie. Rapunzel said no, I live in a tower and I don't have a tv. So Cambria asked her if she at least had a computer so she could burn her a copy of the movie.
The girls up on all the mattresses with the Princess and the Pea. I need to find a movie about this because Cambria didn't know who she was.
The 12 Dancing Princesses in the cave. Cambria liked this one the best because the princesses taught them to dance first, and then during the play the girls got to get up and dance with them.
This is the tunnel that the dancing princesses go through to get to the cave.

Sleeping Beauty. This was who Cambria had been waiting all day to meet. She says Sleeping Beauty is her favorite Disney classic. She says the funniest things.
I don't know why Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland were sitting together, but Cambria liked meeting Peter Pan.
Cambria really liked Belle, but Ashlynn did not like the Beast.
They are both really into the Little Mermaid movie right now so they loved meeting the mermaid here.

She is so dainty.
The girls all had a lot of fun playing on this carriage before we left. We will probably want to go again next year!

Ashlynn is 2!

This was what my belly looked like 2 years ago today. It was giant, and I was 41 weeks. It was torture.
From the very first time Cambria saw Ashlynn she loved her and was really glad to be a big sister.

Both of my babies had really pretty dark hair and blue eyes.

This was from her birthday party last year.
This was taken a few days ago. Ashlynn loves to wear a tutu and dance, she LOVES animals, playing with dolls, and eating pizza. She has just recently discovered that she really likes swimming in the little pool in our backyard.
We took her to Blast Off today for her birthday.

Our Garden

We have planted a few things in our backyard this year, we will have to wait and see if anything grows. So far we have a few plants that are starting to pop up.
The girls really liked digging around in the dirt.
Corey also had fun digging in the dirt.
Cambria Fiona and Ashlynn like to cook at Grandma's house, and they look so cute in the aprons Grandma made them.
It got up to 80 degrees a few days ago so we played outside as much as we could, and we even got a little sunburned. It felt kinda nice.
Grandma and Grandpa bought this tent because the girls like to have sleepovers in Blackfoot with Fiona, so now they have a tent to sleep in. They set it up at our house and Cambria was so excited. She ran and got into her pajamas and then quickly set up their "campsite".

A few things

The girls always like it when i clean the kitchen floor and they can use the chairs to make a bus.
I brought this dress back from El Paso and Cambria has been begging me to try it on. My grandma "mer" made this when me and my sisters were little. I think we all wore it. If any of you have a picture send it to me and I'll post it. Anyways it was too small but she really liked it.
Then Ashlynn wanted to wear it.

Cambria graduated from preschool. I am kinda nervous to send her to school in the fall but I know she will love it.
She likes to have a fashion show with my clothes. I think the dresses look better on her than on me.

We spent the night at the cabin but there was still a lot of snow so we walked up about half way, and then rode the snowmobile the rest of they way.

Ashlynn and Cambria were pretending to put out a fire.

I can't believe she is going to be 2 soon!

They were dusting the baker man at Grandmas. Ashlynn was a little afraid of him at first.

She wanted to lay down and put ice on them. Then she made Aaron carry her to bed.

We found this today at a garage sale for $15. I had been wanting a desk or something to put all my couponing stuff. It is perfect because I have a big computer and 2 laptops I use upstairs and this fits all of them! Also the computer I am going to use is downstairs, a lady gave it to Aaron for free at a garage sale. He asked her how much for it and she said she was going to just take it to the thrift store and so she told him he could have it. It was a good day.
Cambria was at a cheer camp all day today and Ashlynn really missed her.

Scraped knee

We went to a carnival at the elementary school that Cambria is going to go to next year. She was playing outside and fell and scraped her knees. She rarely ever gets hurt because she doesn't play hard and she is not very daring, so she is REALLY dramatic when she does get hurt. Especially when it bleeds a little and makes a scab. She won't even let us look at it. I put some funny videos on facebook of her traumatic event because they were too long for the blog. Go watch them.

Saturday

For Mother's day we went 4 wheeling on Saturday. The weather at first was cold and rainy, but as soon as we started riding the clouds went away and it got really warm. It was perfect. Then it started to rain really hard as soon as we got back to our cars. We couldn't have had better luck with the weather.

We were eating sandwiches and getting ready to ride. We had to layer a bunch of clothes at first.
Whenever we stopped the girls would follow that puppy around.

And then Ashlynn had to also.
Ashlynn really wanted to ride with Grandpa. She only came onto our 4 wheeler to drink all of our gatorade.

Easter

The girls woke up extra early Sunday morning, around 7:30, so we went downstairs to see if the Easter Bunny came.
Ashlynn and Cambria found the half eaten carrot we left out for him. Cambria told everyone she could see the bunny's teeth marks in the carrot.
Ashlynn didn't really want to hunt for eggs, she just started eating candy right away.

It seems like I buy new baskets every year. I always see one that I think it cuter than the ones we have, and the girls didn't have matching ones so now they do.
We bought these dresses a few months ago when a store went out of business and they were half off. Ashlynn's was a little long but they looked cute.
Aaron took them outside before church and got a bunch of cute pictures.
It has been cold and windy here still but Sunday was warm, the sun was out and there was no wind. We even walked to church.

Then we went to Blackfoot for dinner, the girls played outside with their cousins and had a lot of fun.

Ashlynn has just barely caught on to playing dress up. She used to get mad if we tried to put a princess dress on her. Now she loves it, and she likes to put on shoes, anyone's shoes she can find.
She ran into the kitchen and tried to hid from Cambria behind the towel. It is funny how kids always think if they cover their face you can't see them.
Fiona had a roller skating birthday party and it was so fun. It reminded me of when I was in 7th and 8th grade and the cool place to hang out was Roller King. I don't think I have skated since then.
Cambria spent the whole time falling down, even after the guy there tightened the wheels so they barely turned. She said "I think this was a mistake" and "this is a nightmare". So her and most of the little kids played on the little jungle gym they had there.

Ignore my weird face, I never look good in pictures. But I look good in skates! It was fun. I need to get me some so I can skate around the neighborhood.
They had strollers there so you could skate with your little kids. I wasn't sure if Ashlynn would like it, but she would get mad when we got tired and stopped. So we had to keep moving as much as we could. I think she almost fell asleep.

Aaron put Cambria in the crib the other day and they actually liked playing in there together. So I left them there for a while.

Spring is coming slowly. We have had a few days warm enough to play outside, but it has been too windy. So we end up coming back inside after just a few minutes.

Cambria and I watched a movie while Ashlynn was asleep and we made movie snacks. I used this tray a while ago and now she thinks we have to always put our movie snacks on it. I also have used it to serve them dinner. They think it is fun.

Corey is all grown up now!

My mom came to see us this weekend because Corey graduated. It was a quick trip but we had fun, and we got to go to Rexburg twice to see Corey. We all forgot cameras the first night, so we will have to wait for her friend to post them, but I took a bunch of pictures the next day. Corey was a little sad because she didn't get to walk in with all the graduates because she was sitting up with the choir, but it turned out better because we saw her right away and it showed her on the big screen while they were singing. She is the person in black on the front row of the choir in between the blue shirt and the red shirt.

Her last walk on campus. We had to walk back to her apartment but first we wanted to see the new buildings and the book store.

Aaron's Birthday

Ashlynn loves shoes. She goes in my closet and likes to try on all of my shoes. This kid is going to cost us a fortune when she is older!
My mom always put up a birthday banner when it was our birthday, so I always put one up. I have a lot of them too. Most of them are girly so I had to get a boy one.
Cambria and I woke up kinda early yesterday to decorate for Aaron's birthday. I told her to be quiet because he was downstairs and I said if we were quiet and he didn't know we were awake then he would be surprised when he came back upstairs. So she yelled down to him "don't come up, we are decorating!"

Aaron made some delicious pulled pork sandwiches, this is one of his favorite things to eat. It was really good.
Cambria made him a cute card. Everytime she writes something her handwriting gets better. I love it.
I also love how she draws people. The triangle is her dress.
She is growing up so fast. In 2 months she will be 2!!
I made this for Aaron so he could hang it up in his office. It turned out really cute, but when i was making it I accidentally did Cambria's hand twice.
I got him some and so did his parents. He should be good for a few weeks!
I didn't have 32 candles but it took long enough to light all of those! Happy Birthday Aaron!

The finished basement

We are excited that our basement is finished. My cousin Josh and his wife Kortnei were the first to stay downstairs this weekend. It was nice to have a place for guests to stay. Here is Cable One. Cambria has always called Aaron's office cable one ever since he got the job with them.
Here is the guest bedroom, or as my mom calls it, the mother in-law suite. She is coming for Corey's graduation and we can't wait!

And finally the bathroom. This took the longest to finish. Aaron had a friend help him with the floor, and a neighbor do all the plumbing, and then Aaron put all the travertine in the shower himself.

So there ya go. We now own a 5 bedroom 3 bathroom house. So come visit us!!

The floor is done!

Aaron and his dad worked on the floor in the basement on Saturday. Aaron just finished it today. It looks good. We decided to do a wood floor because it was cheaper than carpet and easier to install. We are going to do the tile in the bathroom probably tomorrow, then finish up the bathroom and we will be pretty much all done!

They were watching a movie, and didn't even know we were watching them. Cute kids.

A birthday and green food

Last weekend was Jaymee's birthday so we went bowling. I always forget how much I like to bowl, but chasing Ashlynn around the bowling alley was not fun.
Cambria is so excited for warmer weather, we are all tired of being inside all the time.

For St. Patrick's Day we went to Blackfoot and made a green dinner for Grandma and Grandpa. We had green kool-aid, which I think actually tastes kinda horrible.
We had pasta that was stuffed with italian sausage, and Aaron made a green sauce to go on them. It was good. We also had garlic bread but it wasn't green and by the time I took pictures it was all gone!
We also had salad.
And for dessert Cambria helped me make banana creme pie desserts for each person. We colored the pudding green and then put bananas on top. This is one of Aaron's favorite things to eat.

Dress up and basement

Cambria wanted to play princesses with Ashlynn one day. This was the first time Ashlynn has worn a princess dress because the ones we have are too big for her. She would get mad because she would step on the dress when she stood up.
We had the flu at our house and the kids got it worse than we did, I felt so bad for them. Aaron went to church without me so he could teach our class. The girls fell asleep shortly after her left and stayed asleep until almost bedtime. This has never happened at our house, Cambria hasn't taken naps since she was 2 and Ashlynn usually won't sleep unless she is in her crib. So it was weird to have such a quiet house all day.
They had a movie day in Cambria's room. Pretty soon we are going to move them into a room together and use this room as a toy room. It will be nice, but we have to get Ashlynn into a toddler bed first.
One day last week we had a neighbor who is a plumber come and put the bathtub in our basement. Ashlynn sat and watched them, it was really cute.
She is on the other side of the bench, I just thought it was cute that she was so interested in what they were doing.
Our tub!!! We decided it was worth it to pay a little extra to hire people to come finish our basement. Aaron could have done the sheet rock and stuff but it would take him forever to do it. The people who are coming did our friend's basement, and they will be done in 2 days. It will be so nice to have our house finished.
I have been wanting these dresses at Old Navy for a long time but I always talked myself out of buying them because they were never on sale. Well the other day there were only 2 of them left and they happened to be my kid's sizes. So it took it as a sign and bought them. Ashlynn's won't fit as a dress much longer but it would be cute with leggings in the summer. Anyways, I though they looked really cute.
Ashlynn's deedee. I think she might have gotten the word deedee from her cousin Brinley while we were in El Paso. How cute is that?

Valentine's Day and other stuff

You can always tell when the girls let Daddy do their hair! They loved it, and Cambria thought it was cute that Ashlynn's hair is getting long enough for pigtails.
We shampooed our carpets in the family room a while ago and the girls thought it was the funnest thing ever to have our furniture in the kitchen. For some reason we are really hard on our carpets wherever we live.
Cambria and her cousin Fiona made these heart shelves at Home Depot, and then they painted them at our house. They turned out really cute.
I keep seeing the commercial for the big dipper pizza at pizza hut for only $12 and I love pizza hut, so we got it on Friday night. It was so good. Corey, Brenna and Justin came over to eat too and we still had leftovers!
Cambria found this huge card at the store for grandma and grandpa so we had to buy it. She thought it was funny because it was so big. She colored it and drew cute pictures. I love that she can write now, it is fun to watch.
The girls loved the stuff they got from grandma and grandpa. They are so spoiled.

Ashlynn got cozy while she was waiting for the cookies to bake. That is the big card behind her. I forgot to take a picture of it once they opened it.
She loves animals, except for when they touch her or lick her. It was cute though because she would lay by molly and then talk to her, pet her and hug her.
Cambria does a really good job frosting cookies, but then she puts a lot of sprinkles on them.
This morning the girls got more stuff. We also had pink heart shaped pancakes but I didn't take any pictures.
I got to go help out at Cambria's school today. It was really fun to see her at school. She says really funny things, but she also knows when to sit and be quiet and she tries to get the kids around her to be quiet too. She is so smart!
Aaron and I never really do much for Valentine's Day because our anniversary is on the 19th and we usually do something fun that day. I read a story to Cambria the other day about Minnie Mouse and her friends, they had a picnic inside because it was rainy. So she wanted to have a Valentine's Day picnic inside for dinner. It was so cute. We had foil dinners and chips. She put the plates, forks, napkins, ketchup, and chips inside the picnic basket.

They got cards in the mail from Amma and Appa that had Toy Story stickers. My kids love stickers and Toy Story is their favorite movie. When Ashlynn saw the stickers she said "yay woody!" and Cambria said "Amma always knows what I like." Then they put the stickers on their shirts.
The next time we get bored I am just going to move the furniture and let them run around. They had so much fun. They are both still afraid of the vacuum. Cambria thinks her toys are going to get sucked up.

Cabin Weekend

We snowmobiled up to the cabin on Friday night and it was cold, but really fun. I didn't take many pictures while we were there but on the way to where we got on the snowmobiles we saw tons of deer crossing the road.

There was a lot of snow. Ashlynn loved walking around but she was a little bit like the kid on a Christmas Story, if she fell down she couldn't get back up.

Why do kids like doing the dishes? I wish it would last.

Ok so I think my kids are the cutest kids ever. All they do all day is play together and have fun and wreck my house. I love it, and I love watching them hug and play. They got tired when we put up the Christmas tree so they laid on the box. They thought this was hilarious.
These are the aprons that I made them for Christmas. Cambria wore hers the other day when we made cinnamon rolls but she said she didn't like to wear it when she cooks because she didn't want to ruin the fabric. So she used a towel to wipe her hands on instead.
We just had to have steaks the other day even though it was like 9 degrees outside. Aaron is a trooper.
I never get tired of looking at this cute face.
Stacey made these cute tutus for Christmas. They love to put them on and dance to Lady Gaga...
I absolutely LOVE the markers that only write on the color wonder paper. If I let them use regular markers Ashlynn's face would be completely covered. And so would the carpet and furniture.
Cambria is like me, always making funny faces in pictures.
They made a movie theater the other night. Cambria was telling me that all her friends were coming over. I'm glad her "friends" don't make a mess.

Christmas Day and New Years

We discovered Christmas morning that Santa had come, and eaten all the cookies! The kids were so excited, he even drank the milk.
He left a giant stocking for Aaron full of goodies.
Going through the stockings is my favorite part of Christmas morning.
Ashlynn and Cambria ended up with way too many presents.
I was so happy to get this, we danced all week!
The next day was Sarah's 30th birthday. Corey and I stayed up late the night before blowing up 30 balloons and decorating. We had a party and ate a bunch of food.
Sarah read all of the kids a book. They did a pretty good job of sitting and listening.
Then we took a bunch of family pictures. This is the first time in about 5 years that we have all been home at the same time, the last family pictures we took only had one grand kid in them. Now there are 7!
We also took some funny pictures...
Then we did our family gift exchange, Aaron looks more excited than the girls.
This was our gift to my parents. I bought the kit from a lady in my ward and made it. It turned out cute.
Ashlynn loves the headbands we got from the Millers.
Corey got all of these pajamas so we decided to wear them for a picture. They are actually really cozy.
This was New Years Eve. We had yummy food, tiaras, masks and we even put all of the kids to bed early so we could watch Inception. Some of us had to be woken up at midnight though...

The next morning we had breakfast and the kids helped deflate the air mattress. Then we went calendar shopping. It was a fun trip!

Christmas Eve

We went over to Mer's house so we could make sugar cookies. It was so warm when we first got to El Paso, in the 70's so we had to let them play outside even though they got REALLY dusty.
Ashlynn had dirt all over her, by the end of the day she had a dirt mustache.
The kids loved the trampoline. Cambria was telling the other kids that they had to jump soft for Ashlynn. Such a good big sister.

Landon, Ayla, Ashlynn and Brinley all fit in the wagon!
They were watching a movie and Cambria was sharing her popcorn with everyone. This was the only time they weren't running around the house and making a lot of noise.
On our way to walk through Eastridge, a huge neighborhood where almost everyone decorates their house. It is a Christmas Eve tradition!

Las Vegas!

For our Christmas break we were out of town for 2 weeks. The girls were no help when I was trying to pack...We drove to El Paso, and along the way we stayed in Las Vegas one night and Phoenix the other night. It was a really fun trip. Cambria was so excited, she was telling strangers in the gas stations that we were on a road trip to see Vegas where she was born. It was so fun to watch the girls as we were driving down the strip. They have never seen so many tall buildings all lit up before. We only had time to see a few of the casinos so we took them to our favorites.

Of course we had to take them to the fountains at the Bellagio.

We hadn't been back since we lived there, so it was kinda weird but fun. I was kind of nervous walking around at night with my kids. There were so many drunk college kids around, so I was glad to go to our hotel.
The girls were sitting on the luggage rack and then Ashlynn fell through it. Ashlynn didn't laugh about it until I helped her out though.
We met spongebob. For some reason Cambria wouldn't get close to him unless I was standing by her.
The Venetian is one of our favorite casinos. Cambria thought we were outside again and I'm not sure if she believed us when we said it was just painted like the sky. Even now she just walked in my room and and asked me where the sun was, and I reminded her that we were inside, and she said well they should have painted a sun.
Cambria threw a dollar up by this guy and so he moved a little and she screamed and said he scared her. You could see him smiling like he was trying not to laugh at her. Aaron forced her to take a picture by him, but look at her face, she was still scared. It was hilarious.

She wanted to be on the bridge any time a gondola was going underneath it.

Aaron had to carry her for a while because she was tired of walking.
The Mirage. Right after this we took off our jackets because it was so warm there. It was nice until it started to rain.
We found the perfect slot machine for our mom! Also while we were in the Excalibur Corey put a dollar in and won $5! We were both laughing so hard when we took the ticket to the cashier because it was only for $5, but hey money is money!
We decided to stay here because it was really cheap, and because Cambria thought staying in a castle was so cool. She was a little sad when she found out that our room wasn't in one of the towers like Rapunzel.
Bye Vegas, hopefully we will visit soon!
Then we went to Phoenix to see our good friends Jp and Tara who just had an adorably tiny baby boy JJ. Cambria was instantly in love with him and wanted to hold him the whole time. I feel bad because I didn't take any pictures, be we had fun seeing them.

Ashlynn and her baby were watching Mickey while Cambria was at school.
The girls love it when Aaron pulls them around in the laundry basket, but when he isn't home Cambria gives Ashlynn and her baby rides.
We went to Big Juds for Brenna's 25th birthday. I made the cake, it was good!

The Kid's Tree

Our old tree is too small for our family room upstairs because the ceiling by the window where we put our tree is like 12 feet tall, so we decided to let the girls put this one in the basement. We found some really cheap purple and pink ornaments, and already had the silver ones. Ashlynn claps her hands and gets so excited when she sees Christmas lights. It is going to be hard to get her to stop touching the tree and taking the ornaments off.
We got the girls new ornaments, you can see Cambria's at the top of the tree. It's Woody and Jesse of course. Ashlynn's is Mickey but I didn't take a picture of it.
It looks pretty good all lit up. I have been sick all weekend so we haven't put up our other tree, and since I have been in bed the house is a mess. Maybe we will clean and put up the tree tonight for Family Home Evening. Or maybe I will stay in bed...

lots of snow

It has been snowing a lot the past few days and it is very cold. It has also been windy so there are huge snow drifts around our house. The snow is up to the stairs in the front, and you can tell in this picture that the fence around our house looks short. Ashlynn loves watching it snow, and Cambria just begs all day to play in it.
I keep wondering why we are spending so much money on Christmas gifts for the girls when all they need to keep them entertained is a popcorn bucket!
Cambria REALLY wants to see the movie Tangled, so she made Rapunzel. She even made long hair, how cute is that?

Short Hair

Cambria has been talking about wanting to cut her hair for a few weeks now. I didn't want to take her right away because I wanted to make sure that she really wanted it to be short and that she understood that it wouldn't grow back right away, but she kept asking, so I took her today. I was picturing it a little shorter but it took so long for them to get it even because she was moving around so much, that I didn't want to say for them to cut more. It looks really cute and she loves it! It is such a big change because her hair hasn't been short since she was a baby.

Ashlynn wanted her picture taken too. I just love this face she makes. I just realized that her hair always looks crazy in pictures, but it looks cute when we go out in public she just wont let her hair be cute at home.

Cambria always wants to soak her feet because she says they smell like corn on the cob. I'm not sure why she says that. This was right before Ashlynn sat in the water.

Last night when we said it was time for bed she ran into Cambria's room, jumped on the bed and pulled up the covers. Cambria got upset and started crying because she thought she would have to sleep in Ashlynn's crib. Haha.

It snowed here last week and Cambria was so excited. Both of the girls wanted to go outside so bad but it was freezing and really windy. Eventually we gave in and went outside.

The barbie jeep is fun in the snow but it gets stuck.
Good thing Aaron was there to give them a push.
Their cheeks were so pink when we came inside. We had hot chocolate, Cambria calls it warm chocolate, but when she was drinking it she said mmm... it warms me up just like the Holy Ghost. It was pretty funny.
Creepy red eyes. I always forget how much I like to bowl. This time my score was a 106. That's really good for me!
She would just drop the ball and it was so loud. There was a loud beep that went off when you stepped over the line and that happened every time she bowled. She would get mad at it and say she wasn't over the line.

On Friday Aaron Corey and I went to see Circa Survive in Salt Lake. We had been looking forward to this for months. We saw them in May and bought tickets right away when we found out they were coming again. I think I could go see them a thousand times and never get sick of it.
Before the concert the band was signing autographs at a record store so of course we went, and they did a few acoustic songs, which we didn't know they were going to do. It was great.
We got to meet the whole band and shake their hands, it just made the concert that much better to know that we had met them. He looks mad in the picture but right before this they were laughing and talking to us, then he would make this face for every picture. Aaron said they will always remember him because they told him he looked like one of their friends.
Best night ever!!!

Cambria typed her name for the post title. She is so smart. I went to Old Navy the other day and because their kids jackets and sweaters were half off I ended up spending more than I thought I would. But i got a bunch of stuff and most of it is for Christmas, and Cambria really needed more warm clothes. Anyway, we got her a jacket and skinny jeans (I love how they look on her) and we got Ashlynn a brown jacket just like this, and then they each got 2 long sleeve shirts, and a sweater, and then a fleece jacket for Ashlynn. Cambria's old coats from when she was Ashlynn's age are too short for Ashlynn's arms! The pants I got her are from the little girls section, yes she has graduated to the bigger girls clothes, and the biggest size would fit me, so we could wear matching pants!

She wanted to go to school today. She gets upset and cries when Cambria leaves in the morning but then when we go to the window to watch them drive away she gets happy again.
It feels like I have a lot to post lately, and I still need to post the pictures of us playing in the snow the other day. So look forward to more pictures.

Crazy Kids

We love this crazy little girl. Ashlynn is always running around, she is fun to watch.
Cambria had a bad cough for about two weeks, but one night last week it was so bad that she was throwing up and was coughing about every 3 seconds. It was bad, so Aaron took her to a new quick care that is open 24 hours a day, which is good because it was 1:30 in the morning and hospital visits are too expensive! Anyways, they fixed her up and even gave her some Halloween candy, so she was happy about that. We had to get her one of these, and she was sad to use it but it helped when I showed her a picture of her cousin Brody who has to use one of these all the time for asthma.
She has the cheesiest smile, I love it. She likes to go in my closet and put on my shoes and clothes. Cambria never really did this when she was little because if it wasn't hers she didn't want to wear it. I had to convince her that it was fun to dress up and that I used to dress up in my mom's clothes when I was little.
She thinks it is more fun now. I think I want to get her a hat like this for Christmas. She looks so cute.

This morning when the girls woke up it was snowing! Ashlynn was so amazed and she was pointing and yelling at it. It is too bad it isn't sticking on the ground so that can play in it. Oh well, there will be tons of snow soon.

The second video Of Ashlynn was on the ride to the cabin. She would not stop saying mom mom mom, the whole 40 min there and then back. The last video is her getting excited over the cows outside her window.

Halloween

We did something fun for Halloween every day this weekend. It was great. Cambria and Ashlynn ended up with a bunch of candy. On Friday we went to Pocatello to trick or treat where Grandma works. Ashlynn wouldn't pose for pictures in her costume, so we ran around just trying to get any pictures of her. She just wanted to run around the office.

We also took them to the Cable One office but we didn't take any pictures.
Friday night we went to Boo at the Zoo. It was kinda cold, but the kids didn't seem to notice. We got to see some of the animals, and they got to trick or treat there. It was decorated with a bunch of pumpkins and lights.

This snake was HUGE!

Cute but tired kids ready to go home and sleep.
Saturday we went to Blackfoot and ate and took more family pictures.
Saturday night we went trick or treating in our neighborhood. I love where we live because there are tons of kids and it is safe to trick or treat, and we know everybody. Cambria had never been door to door before and she loved it. Ashlynn just loved running around again. Her candy bag is a dog dressed as a pumpkin.

She was excited because she got a big tootsie roll.

I dressed up as Aaron and Corey was a pirate. We ate and watched a cheesy Halloween movie.
This has nothing to do with Halloween, but she is always trying to be helpful. She is funny.

Pumpkins and a Party!

On Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch so we could carve pumpkins later that night. It was FREEZING and windy! Winter is here already, it is supposed to snow sometime this week. Cambria and Ashlynn had fun running around and picking pumpkins. We got some huge ones.
Our little pumpkin. We put that on her because we wanted it to help keep her head warm. She likes wearing it around the house too.

When we got home Brenna and Corey surprised me with this! We had pizza, cookies, cake, and made caramel apples. It was really fun. Thanks guys!! Then we all carved our pumpkins.
I look like such a dork but this was the best picture of me. Also I discovered that the spicy nacho doritos are my new favorite.

The cake was so good. It says celeprise, it is a word I made up that has stuck apparently!

Caramel apples, they came out perfect. Mom, we need to make these for Christmas!!!
Last year i made these and the caramel and chocolate slid off of them, not this year.
Cambria will not stick her hand in the pumpkin. She said she was afraid. I have always loved carving pumpkins, and I don't mind taking out the pulp.
I told her to taste it.Cambria's pumpkin even had eyelashes.

Corey's creepy pumpkin took her hours. It was fun to watch her make it. I didn't get a good picture of it all lit up, so maybe she will post one on her blog.
Cambria got to dress up for preschool today. She was so excited to be Jesse. I was hoping one of the other kids would be woody. I will have to search the neighborhood on Saturday when we go trick or treating, it would be cute to get a picture of her with woody. Or maybe I should just go get Aaron a woody costume!

Ashlynn loves to get "cozy". When we tell her to get cozy she will get a pillow and blanket and lay down. She also likes to sit right next to or on Cambria all the time.

I got the camera out because she wouldn't stop kissing Cambria. It was so cute.
We made mummies. Well they look more like the mummies babies. Cambria doesn't know the difference between mummies and mommies.

Weekend in Utah

We spent Friday night and Saturday in Utah. We went to a harvest festival and did a lot of shopping. Cambria and Ashlynn loved the festival but got tired of the stores. We took Cambria to the Disney store in the mall and she was in heaven. Aaron's dad distracted her so we could get her stuff for Christmas. Then we took them to build a bear, and ashlynn got really excited. She loves animals, especially dogs (well pictures of dogs and stuffed animals, our kids are kinda scared of them in person) so while we were there we got Ashlynn a puppy for Christmas.

We were the first people to go down the slide that morning and it was wet! Haha.

We went to Texas Roadhouse on Monday night because it is family night there. They have someone doing balloons and free ice cream sundaes. Cambria got a horse with a cowgirl. Ashlynn got a poodle, but it didn't even make it to the end of dinner. Oh well!
I have been forgetting to post videos. The first two are from that cheer camp Cambria went to. I though the second one was funny because you can tell she wasn't paying attention. The last one is the first time Ashlynn went down a slide by herself.

Our friends invited us to their family's campsite for dutch oven cobbler one night for FHE. The ride there always reminds me of The Land Before Time, because you drive through farmer's fields and then you turn a couple corners and then you see this, which doesn't look as cool on the camera. It reminds us of when they first see the great valley on the movie, it makes us laugh.
Cambria was sharing her gold fish with everyone. She was being really weird, she said other "humans" were going to come eat with us.

Ashlynn made a new friend. They were cute and kinda talking to each other and sharing their food.
The cobbler, which turned out fantastic! Half of it was apple with caramel, and the other half was peaches. All of it was fresh fruit which makes it taste better.
They were holding hands.
The next week for FHE Corey was here and so we made a haunted house.
I think it looks really good. I was kinda mad because it already came assembled and it was broken! So we had to glue a lot of pieces back together before we could decorate it.
We cut her mullet off the other day. She looks a lot better. Cambria and Ashlynn fight over these.
We have been wanting bookcases for a while, but the one we like was $4oo!! So Aaron and his dad built us this one. And it did not even cost close to $400. So lucky for us they know how to do this kind of stuff. Aaron painted it black, and it looks exactly like the one we wanted, even the trim is almost the same.
Fancy huh?
We are eventually going to make another one and put it on the other side and get rid of the tree. I also told Aaron I want a corner bookcase like this for my kitchen so I can put Christmas decorations on it. I said I need it by Dec 1st! We'll see...
That is what we have been up to. I haven't taken pictures much but we are going to be in Salt Lake this weekend, so I will try to take more pictures.

Sunday

Brenna and Corey came over for Conference yesterday. I made tortilla roll ups, puppy chow, and chicken wings. We pretty much ate all day. The girls had fun sitting on their chair and couch watching conference. It is almost impossible though to hear it with kids, so I recorded them for later.Corey and Ashlynn took a break between sessions.
Then we went to the cabin to make a dutch oven cobbler. It had bluberries and fresh peaches. It was really tasty. We took some pictures along the way.
Yes, Corey really did put her head that close to a beehive just to take a picture!

New Things

We have been adding a few things to our house slowly, someday it will be finished. Jaymee and Corey helped us paint our kitchen a yellow gold color, and then Corey helped us paint two walls a darker brown in our family room. I think it looks good, but the kitchen came out a brighter yellow than we wanted, so we got the curtains. What do you think? And yes, we do still have the cardboard on the painting and it is crooked, we just wanted to see how it looked on the wall in case we wanted to take it back.

First day of school

Cambria had her first day of preschool today. She was so excited, she woke up early and was upset because it wasn't time to go yet. I think she will have a lot of fun at school, and hopefully learn a lot. Of course we had to take a first day of school picture by our front door.On the walk to preschool.
She even laid out her clothes the night before. I used to do this when i was little.

Family Pictures

Corey took some family pictures for us yesterday at the Gardens at Byu-Idaho. Thanks Corey! And also thanks to my friend Summer for coming to my rescue and doing my hair, or else it would have looked fuzzy! (She cut my hair also!) Cambria got tired of smiling and Ashlynn just wanted to run around, so we didn't get a lot of family ones, but we got a lot of good pictures. We will have to take pictures again when Ashlynn isn't teething. We still have to edit the pictures, and change colors and crop some, but Aaron is still learning to use photoshop. Anyway, these are my favorites.
When she doesn't want to smile she does a weird face, oh well, I look ok!
There was so much for Ashlynn to look at there, so she didn't want anything to do with posing for pictures.

It looks like we just got engaged!

There were these little apples on a tree there, and so we gave Ashlynn one to distract her. Cambria thought they were cute.

She was mad that we weren't done yet, but I think it came out kinda cute because she is frowning.
I think this one is my favorite one of Cambria.

We had a hard time getting Ashlynn to sit still and smile for pictures, but of course she was happy and smiling on the way home. Oh well, I will take her smiles and giggles anytime I can! Doesn't her hair look lovely?

Pillow Pets

This is possibly the weirdest thing ever invented but Cambria has been wanting it for months. She gets so excited every time the commercial for these is on tv. We were going to wait and get them for Christmas but Aaron saw them at the fair, so he decided to get them. I think he was feeling sad because he hasn't really seen them this week, and Cambria has been crying at night when he isn't home yet.

They have a velcro strap that you snap to the other side of the pillow, so it makes legs. Cambria calls it a snuggly animal. Cute huh?
Then it turns back into a pillow.
Ashlynn got a zebra, but she likes playing with Cambria's ladybug because of its antennas.

We spent a few days in Blackfoot so we could go to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Aaron has to work everyday at the fair so it was fun to go a few days and eat the fair food. My kids love going to Grandma and Papa's house, they always have popsicles! Ashlynn looks like she had a rough day. She never naps when we are there because there is too much fun to be had.

Ashlynn loves looking at books. Her favorite ones are books with animals. She loves looking at the puppy or "puhpuh" in her book. She even kisses it.
Someone looks like she has had too much sugar.
She was standing in line waiting to get on the expensive rides. She had a lot of fun.

She made a friend, and her and the little girl went on a few of the rides together. I think it made Cambria feel better to have someone to sit by.
At first she didn't want to go on this ride because she said the dragon was scary, but then she changed her mind. She is so brave!

She was laughing the whole time but she never would take her hands off the bar.
She was dancing around because she was so excited.

We took them to see the animals. Cambria just said it smelled bad and she needed to get out of there, but Ashlynn loves looking at all the animals. She was amazed at the different sounds they made. The ones in her books don't make noises!
We just had to get them some bubblegum ice cream.
This is Aaron's booth at the fair. Fancy huh? That's because him and his friend painted it last year and made it look nicer.

That's all. Now I am tired and I have a messy house and lots of laundry to do.

We moved the tree in this room...
So now there is a blank space where it used to be. This room looks so blah. What can I do to dress it up a bit? I'm thinking curtains but with the blinds and sliding door I'm not sure how to do it.

Motorcycle in the morning

Aaron's dad rented this for the weekend, and so he drove it over to show to the girls. Cambria heard a loud rumble outside and ran to the window and said it's a motorcycle... and Papa! She was so excited to get to go for a ride around the block. I never got to ride on a 4 wheeler or jet ski or anything until I was 19 and met Aaron. My girls have already been on 4 wheelers, a boat, a jet ski, a razor, and Cambria has been on a go cart they used to own, and a snow mobile, and now a motorcycle. What lucky girls!Oh, and these are the new trees we planted.

Barbie Jeep

Ashlynn loves going for long rides on the jeep. I was afraid she would try to get out while it was moving, but she just sits there and smiles. She got very upset when it was time to go inside.

Moses Reunion

We spent all day yesterday at Bear Lake. When we got there in the morning we saved a huge spot for everybody because we had 3 motorhomes and a bunch of cars show up. It was a great spot on the beach. We ate delicious food and tons of junk food. Cambria loves to just sit in the sand and play and get muddy, it was hard for me to get her to stop playing long enough to eat, drink or put on more sunscreen. I am happy to say though that the 4 of us are sunburn free!

I have more pictures of us playing in the sand, but it pretty much looks like the last post.

She didn't actually drink any, Cambria used to love mountain dew until I told her it would make her stop growing. Now she won't drink it if you try to give her some. haha.

Ashlynn likes to give hugs lately, I love it!

She also loves capri suns, and if someone has one and she doesn't then she throws a huge fit.

The entrance to the cave was really dark and cold. It was pretty cool until I had to turn around and walk all the way back out because Cambria had to go potty, even though she just went seconds before we went into the cave. Then we just waited in the car because it was kind of a long walk back to where everyone was in the cave and there were a lot of stairs. Cambria does not move fast on stairs. Also she said it was creepy.

It was a fun weekend and a very quiet ride back home!

Bear Lake

This saturday we went to Bear Lake. It was so hot outside and the water was warm. Ashlynn liked the water but not the sand. Cambria liked the sand and the water, but she didn't like it when we tried to show her how to float on her back or tummy. This was Corey's first trip to Bear Lake and we had so much fun.
We could use this for our Christmas card, haha.
She was really brave and didn't want to hold anyone's hand when she was running around in the water.
Even though she was wearing these she still wouldn't go where her feet wouldn't touch.
Ashlynn loved it when we took her on Papa's boat a few weeks ago, so she was running towards the boats by us and wanted to get in them. She was saying papa, and ba ba, which I think meant boat.
Some people by us had this ridiculously huge chair. It was funny because tons of people were asking them if they could take pictures on it.
Even though she was tired and hadn't had a nap she was all smiles, she just loved watching all the people.
We were collecting a bunch of shells, and then Corey and I found some really tiny ones. Aren't they cute?
Aaron and Cambria made this sand castle. She was very proud of it, and had talked about making one all week before we went. She really wants to go again, which is a good thing because we are going again this Saturday!
