Lucky Charms

Camrbia loves lucky charms, and our cereal is on the bottom shelf of our little pantry. I always take them away from her when she gets in to them because she just picks out the marshmallows, and I don't like her to eat that much sugar because she is already hyper... Anyways this morning when I took them away from her she said "I'll spank you!" and came over and spanked my bottom! It was hilarious of course (I always tell her I am going to spank her when she is doing something bad) but now that she knows she can spank me too I will have to come up with another way to threaten her. Silly kid.

Fun Week

Aaron was skateboarding outside our apartment and Cambria was watching from our balcony. There are a few kids who are always skateboarding outside and so Aaron went out there and was showing off a little. :)
Cambria was invited to a birthday party at the blackfoot swimming pool. She always has to get use to the water when we go swimming, it is like she forgets that she likes to swim. There is a little slide in the kiddy pool and she was holding on to it and her hands slipped and her head went under water for the first time ever, and she didn't know what to do. She had only been under for 1 or 2 seconds and we pulled her up right away, but after that she wanted nothing to do with the slide. I know she will have to learn to go under water someday, but I have always been very careful about her not letting her head go under because I knew it would scare her. Cambria and the party guests eating cupcakes! We spent the night at the cabin on Friday, and we worked all day Saturday gathering rocks on the side of the road to put around the cabin to make it look better and keep weeds from growing. Cambria even had her own shovel and a little dump truck she was filling with dirt. She loves to be doing anything outside. She cries when we make her go inside. She always wants to take her "pa pack" when we go to the mountains. You can't really tell but her shirt says take a hike. I thought it was really cute. She also likes to have her glasses and hat like daddy. We spent Friday night watching movies and eating dutch oven chicken and potatoes, and peach cobbler (it was so good that I had seconds and thirds!) The cobbler was a cake mix with peaches and you are supposed to cook it with 7 up, but in this family we do everything with mountain dew! I thought it was pretty funny, and so good!On friday night when we were getting ready for bed we heard a growl from outside but it was too dark to see anything. The lady who has a cabin down the road from them said she had a bear scratching on her doors the other day, and also a big mountain lion walking around her property. So the next morning we went looking for tracks outside. We found some mountain lion tracks really close to the cabin on the road up. The picture of the footprint isn't very good and you can't tell how big it is, but it was about as big as a donut! It was so huge, and right by them we saw some baby prints too. It is kind of scary to think that bears and mountain lions get so close to the cabins, but we just have to be careful! Cambria likes to pretend she is driving the razor. I love this thing, I wish we could drive it around town. Here we are loading up the trailer on the 4 wheeler with rocks.Aaron has been very nervous about going back to school. When he was talking to Brody about starting school and Brody said he was getting new clothes and a backpack Aaron decided he needed new clothes too. So here is his first day of school picture with his new jeans!!!

TRY THIS!!!

I know I put a lot of recipes on my blog and my family has confessed that they never try them, but this one is good! Aaron really wanted to try to make the enchilada burrito things that we had at Mark's mom's house. This pork tastes like the Cafe Rio Barbacoa. (Stacey I remember you didn't really like how sweet the pork was at Cafe Rio, but just add less brown sugar, trust me this is really easy to make and it is so good!)

2 1/2 pounds pork
1/3 cup water
1/8 tsp garlic salt
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 cup green enchilada sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar

Put pork in the crock pot and cover with all the ingredients.
Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or until the pork is done and can shred easily.
Drain and shred pork.

We put the pork with some rice and black beans on flour tortillas and rolled them up like enchiladas, and poured green enchilada sauce on them, and put cheese on top and cooked them in the oven for about 15 or 20 min just until they are hot all the way through and the sauce is bubbling.

SOMEONE PLEASE TRY THIS AND LET ME KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT!!!

Cute Stuff

This picture and the next one were taken in Utah at our friend's wedding reception. Cambria was not good there because she did not have a nap all day. You can't tell she was rotten by this cute picture, but she was!She loves to color in her room at her little table. It has a drawer that she keeps her crayons in.
She was calling the headband her glasses, and she was saying I can see you mommy!
We went with some friends to the mountains to roast marshmallows and just play around. It was really fun, but we came back with tons of mosquito bites. I took some good pictures of the three of us, but in most of them you can see a mosquito biting me, so it looks gross.

She found our winter clothes.Aaron finally got her to wear flip flops. She has always hated them because she couldn't stand to have anything between her toes. She is obsessive about taking off her socks to clean out lint between her toes if there is any, she does it all the time. She liked to wear our sandals though so Aaron just kept putting hers on her feet and saying they looked just like mommy and daddy's, and now she won't wear anything else. I asked her to show them to me, that's why she has her foot in the air.
