Christmas with Grandma and Papa!

Aaron's parents came over last night so we could have our Christmas with them since we are leaving for El Paso tomorrow. They gave Cambria the best gifts!! This kid has everything! She loved tearing the wrapping paper into little pieces.

She got a bunch of new baby stuff, she loves to feed her babies, and put them to bed and push them around in their stroller.
She also got a new "cute dress". She of course wanted to try it on right away, and we had a hard time getting her to take it off! She wears a dress almost everyday and a princess crown.
They gave her a doll house, and it is the coolest doll house ever! It has an elevator and it is tall enough for her barbies, and she has to stand on a stool to reach the top floor. It also came with a kitchen table, a bed, a piano, a couch and a bath tub. She stayed up until 11:30 playing with her new toys!
She dresses like a princess every day, and she loves to play with these Disney Princesses. She likes to line them up on the table.
We made some caramels to give to some of our friends here and to take to El Paso, and we didn't want Cambria anywhere near the stove because you have to cook it for about 15 min and it is boiling hot. We also didn't want her around when we had to pour the caramel into a pan, so we brought her kitchen set into the kitchen, but put it by the table so she was far away from the stove.
Now whenever we are cooking anything in the kitchen she wants us to bring her kitchen set in there and cook with us.

Snowy Sunday!

Yesterday there was snow on the ground when we woke up, and this morning there was even more snow. Aaron had to be at the church this morning at 7:30 to shovel the sidewalks, and it was 1 degree outside when he left!!! I have been checking the weather since we are driving to El Paso this weekend, and everyday this week is supposed to have a high of around 15-20 degrees, and at night is it going to be between 4 and 7 degrees. Winter came on quick here! Aaron figured out that Cambria is not saying snowberries for snow flakes (even though that's what it sounds like) she is saying snow fairies! She was watching a cartoon the other day that had snow flakes that were fairies, and they had little wings. We all say snowberries though because it sounds really cute.
And here is our kinda messy tree, but I love it!

Christmas Cookies

We decorated some Christmas sugar cookies the other night, and we also drove around to look at Christmas lights. She is always re-arranging the ornaments on our tree, she likes the snowflakes but for some reason she calls them snowberries! It is really cute but I have no idea why she calls them that. Cambria is starting to get excited about Christmas, and she runs around saying Christmas is coming! But she still doesn't want anything to do with the Santa at the mall. I have been telling her that he brings candy and presents, but when you ask her if she wants him to come here she says no thanks.

Every day she wants to wear a "cute dress" like a princess. A few days ago she told Aaron he had to wear a cute dress too, and so he did!

The Croup, Birthday and snow!

Since I have been sick for 2 months now, Aaron has been Mr. Mom. He has done the cooking, cleaning, and takingc care of Cambria. He has done a great job. I am starting to feel better, but now Cambria is sick! On Saturday she started to get a really bad cough, and her throat was so congested that by the time we went to bed she was having a really hard time breathing, and about every 10 to 15 minutes she would start coughing so bad that it would scare her and she couldn't breath well and was starting to panic, and so were we!! It was 1 in the morning and so the only place open was the ER, so Aaron took her, and they cleared out her throat and lungs with a breathing treatment that came out of a tube and she had to breath it in. They said it was a good thing he took her in because she was really bad, and it would have just kept getting worse through the night. It turns out that she has Croup, and while they were there 2 more kids came in with the same thing. I wasn't sure what it was but apparently it is pretty serious when little kids get it. A few times yesterday she would hold in a cough because she hates to cough, and her eyes would get all red and we would panic because it was like she couldn't get enough air. Last night was a little better, she had some really bad coughs, but then slept ok the rest of the night. Aaron has been sleeping on the floor in her room, we put her in our bed but she started crying for her bed. She is losing her voice, but she is still running around and playing and stuff.

They told us to keep a humidifier in her room, and when she has a coughing attack to bundle her up and take her outside. The cold air helps so she can breath better.
They gave this to her at the ER , she likes her "bracelet."
It was also Brenna's birthday this weekend, so her and Corey came over for Pork Barbacoa (Cafe Rio's recipe) enchiladas, and cake. Aaron did all the cooking. They also helped us put up our Christmas tree but I don't have anything on the top of the tree yet so I will post a picture later.
Cambria loved the cake, and having Brenna and Corey over. She was upset when they left. I don't know why the picture turned, it was normal when I uploaded it, but you get the idea. Aaron made it and Corey wrote on it. It was SO good!!
We woke up this morning to snow! Cambria was so excited, but when Aaron put his coat on and left to go to class, she cried and put on her coat, and got out her gloves and boots, and stayed by the window crying. She was saying "Daddy come back for me", and "I need my daddy!" It sounded more pitiful because she is losing her voice. It was so sad. She even made me call him so she could ask him to come back and get her. So when he got home they went outside to play for a few minutes, the cold is good for her throat (which sounds weird because you would think cold would make it worse.)

She has been very attached to him lately, and she cries for him whenever he goes anywhere. She just loves her daddy!

Christmas Stuff

Aaron and Cambria made a gingerbread house, and even though she ate a bunch of the candy, she also helped put a lot on the house. She had so much fun, and she always wants to see her "Christmas House". She didn't even make a mess. We have also been watching some of the Christmas movies that have been on one of the family channels, and so she is starting to get excited about santa and christmas trees. I don't think she remembers last Christmas at all. We are going to take her later today to see Santa at the mall but I don't think she will sit on his lap. She liked helping decorate Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas tree but she did not want to touch any of the snowman decorations they had. They have 2 snowmen that are about 2 feet tall and we had to hide them behind the couch because she was scared of them! It is not like her at all to be scared of anything.

Twinkle Star Song

Cambria loves to sing, but it is hard to get her to finish a song because she gets distracted. Oh well it is still really cute! I wish I could record her all day every day because she says the funniest things when i don't have the camera. Yesterday while I was getting ready to go to the doctor she gave me a hug and said "you are so smart mommy!" She also went to the dentist to look at her tooth that she chipped (which the doctor said looked great) and so Aaron just took her to the Cable One office with him. She likes to go there because Aaron's boss draws with her. When Aaron told her it was time to go she said "No, go away, I draw with Debbie!"
