Messy Kid

I am so annoyed with Cambria's room. We clean it all the time but by the middle of the day it looks like this. She loves to watch disney movies in her room and so she plays in there a lot, which is good because then we can watch whatever we want in the other room, and it keeps the mess out of the family room. She pulls out clothes, and all her shoes and dresses because she likes to dress up, and she also gets all of her toys out of the toy box. She has a lot of stuff but the main problem is that she only has a small toy box, we don't want to put up shelves because we don't want a bunch of holes in the wall, and I am not sure how to keep her room cleaner. The mess really bothers me, but I guess I will just have to deal with it! We will just have to hurry and get a house so we can have a play room in the basement.

I remember your room about 7 yrs. ago or so, much messier they Cambria's and it was on purpose! Ha ha

Really, Cambria's room looks like a normal kid's room to me.

I was going to say the same thing as Janey. Maybe Cambria's room is my payback? It's funny that it bothers you now. Just shows that we all grow up and change our ways, or become like our Mothers.

So very true mom. It bothers me because I don't want her to wake up at night and see toys on the floor because now she will get out of bed and play. Wow... 7 years ago, that sounds like such a long time! Well her room has looked even worse than that, and she can make a mess in about 5 minutes.

the boys room looks like that constantly. Luckily though, Brody is getting old enough that he will help me pick things up once a week. Aiden is no help..... he just throws things and laughs.

Cambria gets upset when I tell her she has to clean up, even if I go in there and help her, she starts to cry. Sometimes she just sings the clean up song they sing in nursery and she will just play with the toys while I clean up.

I wish Preston's room looked that,(well with boy toys)...but thats how are family room looks ALL the time! I have tried moving his toys to his room, but some how they all get dragged back downstairs. He doesn't really like to stay in his room and play...hopefully one day he will, it will make it so much easier to just shut a door, than to have to clean it up every single night just for it to begin all over again the next day!!
